Our story
LBC: Where aspiring comedians pursue their dreams
In 2009, Laughing Buddha Comedy was created to offer the best stage time opportunities to new and aspiring comics. Our comedy school was the first to include stage time as part of the course. As the events grew, a diverse and inclusive community was created where aspiring comics can pursue their dreams.

Ready to take the next step? You’ve been working hard, hitting the mics, and your act is ready to be seen by LBC’s bookers. When you audition at The Buddha Room on one of our weekly shows, you will receive feedback on your set, and ultimately have the chance to get passed, that means guest spots and a chance to join our rotation of comics at the Buddha Room, and also be introduced to our industry partners including managers, club owners, casting directors, agents, managers, and more.
