Comedians such as Chris Distefano, Sarah Cooper, Phoebe Robinson, Ian Lara, Caitlin Peluffo, have all begun their journeys in our shows.

GET PASSED AT LAUGHING BUDDHA COMEDY
As NYC’s largest independent producers we have the ability to place you on stage at not just one, but several of the city’s top comedy clubs. When you’re passed at LBC you will be given the keys to a variety of club spots where you can be further seen by club personnel.
Every time you perform in an audition show you have an opportunity to be seen, get passed and receive regular guest spots. Other perks include submission to bookers, managers and other industry guests, social media spotlights, priority festival submission, and more.
Types of Shows
New talent show
Our signature show where you can just bring out a few guests, (sometimes even one!) and receive quality stage time in front of the best crowds at any of our venues. These shows are low pressure, supportive, and a great way for you to try your material in front of a paying comedy club audience.
BUDDHA BATTLE
Our hallmark competition show usually held in our largest venues to adoring crowds. It’s a regular show, not a roast, where the top comics win club guest spots, cash, and other prizes. This is a great show for all levels, but you will need to bring your “A” game to win it All!

Ready to take the next step? You’ve been working hard, hitting the mics, and your act is ready. In our audition shows you will have the chance to be seen by LBC’s bookers, receive feedback, and ultimately get passed. that means guest spots, and a chance to become part of our rotation. Comics should prepare their best 5 minutes and be ready to kill!
$PLIT THE DOOR
In this fun show we give you the opportunity to earn $$$ for bringing guests. We split the door with you, less some expenses, and you can either walk with your new found comedy earnings or choose additional stage time instead.
INDUSTRY SHOW
Our new talent industry shows are recognized as the very best by the industry themselves who feel LBC regulars are a year or two ahead of their peers. When you want to be seen by a particular guest, be it a manager, booker, or casting director, we have the show to connect you. This show great for new as well as experienced comics as many of our guests want to see YOU before you break through!
