JEFF LAWRENCE

In 2009 Jeff Lawrence went to his first open mic where the opening comedian launched into a homophonic rant. Jeff's first bringer show he brought 35 guests to a major comedy club and was yelled at because he asked for more stage time. They gave him an additional minute. Jeff took his first comedy class taught by someone who never performed comedy and was told that Hitler and Holocaust jokes would not work.

Jeff decided then and there that there had to be a better way. With the support of his friends and the few comedians he had known, he created mics and shows with wildly supportive audiences. He made sure that real stage time was part of every comedy course, and Laughing Buddha Comedy was born. A place where new and aspiring comedians can purse their dreams.
